Interview: Enslavement in Film

Dr. Seck, Head Researcher of Whitney Plantation

Today, I had the privilege of interviewing Dr. Seck of Whitney Plantation. He spoke with me about representing enslavement in film. Dr. Seck told gripping stories of the harsh realities for enslaved peoples, stories that everyone needs to hear. I cannot wait to share his stories with the world when I finish my documentary.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my website, Portfolio of the Past! My name is Christine, and I created this account to display my work as a public historian currently in graduate school. This semester, I’m focusing a lot on how museums teach slavery in the South (specifically Louisiana), the politics behind monuments and museums, and race riots during the Reconstruction Era in Louisiana. Check back every week for new content!
